I must share with you an unpleasant memory of this year's holiday at the Villa Linda Hotel in Sicily. We had our holiday in September and booked a room called Superior. A room that according to the name was supposed to be better than the rest of the rooms. We were given a sea view room on the third floor which had three beds. We were traveling alone with my wife and our idea was to have a bigger room. Not crammed into a small room with three beds. Another disappointment was the furniture itself which was as old as the room and to top it off was very beat up. On top of that, the paint on the walls was dirty, already from long use. But that was not all, the shower room where we showered with the fear of catching something. The shower door could not be closed, it was warped and the toilet leaked all night.

On top of that dirty unwashed windows for perhaps the whole season, fridge fully frozen, couldn't use the top freezer etc.

This is just a small list of what we experienced. We were told by the front desk that the room was equivalent to a Superior room. So what do the other rooms look like when the name in the presentation means superior room to the others. But so at most dingy and unkept. Take a picture for yourself and decide if you want to visit such a room.
